It has come to our attention that fraudulent job offers are being made online, on social media and by individuals falsely claiming to represent Guaranty Trust Bank plc (GTBank). In most cases, job seekers are asked to make some sort of payment in order to get a job with the bank. Under no circumstances does GTBank charge applicants a fee.

These offers are recruitment scams and are not from GTBank. We urge job seekers and members of the general public to disregard these fraudulent job offers.

How to identify a fraudulent job offer

  • If a job offer is made without a prior interview.
  • If you are asked to pay a fee or enter into a financial agreement. GTBank never requests personal banking information or fees of any kind from candidates during the hiring process.
  • If an offer is not made to you in person. GTBank does not make offers by proxy or third party.
  • If correspondence for employment is not from an email with @gtbank.com. GTBank never makes job offers from third party mail domains, such as: @yahoo.com or @gmail.com.

What should you do if you receive a fraudulent job offer?

Please disregard any request for payment for employment with the Bank. Please forward a copy of any fraudulent offers you receive to contact.ci@gtbank.com.
